The fountain has remained as it was at the time, but the wash- house has disappeared, although its location is still visible (cemented area on your left).
The water for the fountain and the old washhouse comes from a spring that rises in the heart of the Côtes massif, where La Roque d'Anthéron is seattled. The water is collected in the heights of the village, flows to the castle, where it passes through an underground settling basin before supplying this fountain. The overflow of the fountain fed the washhouse, which has now disappeared (opposite sidewalk). Be careful, this water is uncontrolled.
